We plant a young tree as a lasting and loving memorial in the hope that it may help your healing process. We see the planting of trees as a symbolic act: one that represents rebirth and the cycle of life. You can be confident that as your tree grows (as part of a grove), it will protect and bring natural beauty to the Western Australian countryside.
Native trees are planted in areas that need rejuvenation and where they will make a positive impact on the environment. In essence, the trees are bringing new life.
Bowra & O’Dea began this unique and free service in conjunction with the Western Australian branch of *Men of Trees in 1995 and have since planted well over 30,000 trees. The trees are being used for environmental re-vegetation purposes, so they are planned and planted to re-grow and enhance the natural ecology.
The Memorial Groves can be used as a special place to mark your loved one, though we cannot give you the exact individual tree location, we can provide you with a map of the Memorial Grove in which your tree has been planted.
You will also receive a Memorial Certificate as a lasting tribute.
Some of the groves may be in areas of delicate vegetation. If you wish to leave, or place something at the sight, please make sure it is biodegradable. Feel free contact us for further information on this matter.

* ‘Men of the Trees’ is an international society for the planting and protection of trees. Founded in 1922, they are a non-profit, voluntary organisation that make a huge contribution to the wellbeing of our planet; through planting trees, reducing greenhouse gases and fighting salinity. |
