An elder statesman of the Western Australian funeral industry with over 60 years as a practising Funeral Director, Joseph O'Dea (Snr) was the first person in Western Australia to receive the accolade of Life Member of the Australian Funeral Directors Association.
Joseph O'Dea (Jnr)
Managing Director
A fourth generation O'Dea family member and past president of the Australian Funeral Directors Association, Joseph joined the family business in 1976 and holds the position of Managing Director.

Antony O'Dea
Director of Finance and Administration
A fourth generation O'Dea family member, Antony joined the family business in December 1984. Antony holds a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in accounting and computing.

Justin O'Dea
Director of Operations and Chief Funeral Conductor
President of the Australian Funeral Directors Association, WA Division, and a fourth generation O'Dea family member, Justin is continuing the family tradition of delivering personalised family service to Western Australians.

Neil van Graan
Financial Controller
Neil is a Chartered Accountant and joined Bowra & O'Dea in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.

John Ranger
Manager - Pre-Paid Division

John joined Bowra & O'Dea in 1996 as manager of the Pre-Paid Division. In just a few short years he has grown the Pre-Paid Division into a market leader. Prior to entering the funeral industry, John ran a successful insurance business.
Bernardine Brierty
Manager - Cannington chapel

Bernardine is the Senior Vice President of the Australian Funeral Directors Association and has been a member of the National Council since 2006. She has over 14 years experience in Funeral Arranging, Funeral Conducting and Branch Management and holds a Bachelor of Social Work.
Eric Kenny
Manager - Cottesloe chapel

Eric has worked in the funeral industry for over 40 years, gaining extensive knowledge after working in both rural Western Australia and the metropolitan area. He has been applying his extensive Funeral Arranging and Funeral Conducting experience at Bowra & O'Dea since 1995.
Urszula Jurek-Bies
Manager - Dianella / Leanne O'Dea Funeral Directors

Highly experienced in the areas of Funeral Arranging and Funeral Conducting, Urszula joined Leanne O'Dea Funeral Directors as Manager in 2005. Urszula holds a Post-Graduate degree in Management and has also completed a Masters degree in French Studies and a Bachelor degree in Spanish Studies.

A member of the Council of the Australian Funeral Directors Association, WA Division, Bill holds a Certificate III in Business, specialising in Funeral Services Management. Bill joined Bowra & O'Dea in 1991 and is highly experienced in the field of Funeral Arranging and Funeral Directing.
Tony Gallagher
Manager - Mandurah / Medina chapels

Tony joined Bowra & O'Dea company in 1990. He has been manager of the Medina branch for 13 years and the Mandurah branch for 8 years. In addition to his wealth of experience in Funeral Arranging and Funeral Conducting, Tony spent 35 years in the Commonwealth Public Service, Department of Defence and sits on the committee of the Dawesville RSL Sub Branch.
Deanna Whitehouse
Manager - Midland chapel

Deanna joined Bowra & O'Dea in 2007 and brings with her a wealth of experience in Funeral Arranging, Conducting and Branch Management having spent 10 years working in a funeral home in Melbourne. Deanna's experience also includes 4 years with the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board at Karrakatta and Pinnaroo.
Sally Weaver
Mortuary Manager

A member of the Australian Institute of Embalmers and holder of a Certificate VI in Mortuary Science, Sally is highly experienced in the preparation of the deceased for funeral services, embalming and cosmetic reconstruction. She has been with Bowra & O'Dea since 2001.
Keith Laird
Operations Manager

Keith has held the position of Operations Manager with Bowra & O'Dea for the last 12 years. He has many years experience in the areas of Funeral Arranging, Funeral Conducting and Branch Management having been with Bowra & O'Dea since 1986.
John Orzanski
Manager - Perth chapel

John joined Bowra & O'Dea in 1996 and is highly experienced in the areas of Funeral Arranging, Funeral Conducting and Branch Management. He has been the Bowra & O'Dea Perth Branch Manager for 5 years.
Kevin Murphy
Manager - Westminster

Kevin joined Bowra and O'Dea in 1989 and has a wealth of experience in Funeral Arranging, Funeral Conducting and Branch Management. His extensive experience includes 1 year spent working for a funeral home in Vancouver, Canada. Kevin has also served on the Divisional Council of the Australian Funeral Directors Association, WA Division.
Sue Channer
Human Resources Manager

A Certified Professional of the Australian Human Resources Institute and WA State Secretary for the Australian Human Resources Institute, Sue holds a Master of Human Resources Management. Since joining Bowra & O'Dea as Human Resource Manager in 2008, Sue has evolved and refined the company's internal HR systems and procedures.
